Director of Sales and Go-To-Market

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales and Go-To-Market Strategy to join our team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will be a self-managing, business development-focused individual with a proven track record of selling software solutions to large enterprises. They will have a willingness to build, explore, and design new sales practices for a burgeoning organization, and a drive to take on a leadership role. You will work closely with the executive team, the product team, and marketing in order to not only operate but build and design a sales organization from the ground up.

What to expect as your main responsibilities:
  • Develop go-to-market strategies consistent with Maya HTT's mission statement for new products within applicable markets (and as further informed by relevant market/customer feedback)
  • Implement a standardized and scalable sales process for Maya’s direct sales channel(s)
  • Create a pipeline of new business opportunities through inbound and outbound efforts (e.g., creative lead-generation campaigns/network/relevant industry events)
  • Manage complex sales-cycles and, wherever possible, develop add-on business within existing accounts
  • Present Maya HTT’s value proposition to all levels of potential customer buyer personas (e.g., C-Suite, IT, Procurement)
  • Accurately forecast built pipeline while achieving agreed upon short-term and long-term KPIs
  • Identify ideal customer profile’s on an ongoing basis and as a function of evolving business needs while mapping buy-groups/the customer purchasing journey(s)
  • Ensure highly satisfied clients who happily provide references as potential cornerstones of future business opportunities
  • Work efficiently and cross-functionally with relevant internal teams
  • Attend industry trade shows to help research and generate leads while informing/advising Maya HTT’s executive leadership team of relevant market trends
You will be successful in this role if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
  • Self-managing and self-driven with a strong focus on business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to large enterprises and navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Knowledge and experience in the plastic injection industry or with engineering simulation software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
