Thermal Flow QA and Testing Intern – Winter 2025

As a strategic development partner for Siemens PLM Software Inc., we author and market a variety of software products for heat transfer, fluid flow and structural simulation, used by customers around the world. 

What to expect as your main responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to assist in testing software, developing innovative validation and verification cases, and creating new types of quality assurance (QA) processes for our thermalflow simulation tools and systems.

Responsibilities :
  • Conduct radiation testing on thermal-flow systems and components to ensure performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop comprehensive validation and verification cases for thermal and/or flow analyses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative QA methodologies.
  • Support the design and implementation of new QA processes tailored to the needs of the Thermal Flow team’s projects.
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for both internal and client use.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advances related to thermal-flow and radiation testing.
You will be successful in this role if you:
  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related undergraduate program.
  • Basic knowledge of radiation theory is an asset.
  • Familiarity with thermal-flow simulations and analytical tools.
  • Experience with simulation and CAD software (Ansys, Simcenter 3D, SolidWorks, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and technical writing abilities.
