Position Summary:

We are looking for an Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves supporting the month-end process and handling daily financial tasks, including overseeing payment runs and assisting with invoicing. Additionally, the Accountant will be responsible for processing payroll for our subsidiaries in the UK and France.

What to expect as the main responsibilities:

  • Support full-cycle month-end close activities including accounts payable, accounts receivables, credit card expenses and account reconciliations.
  • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Oversee weekly accounts payable payment runs, bank portal payments, and maintain cash flow requirements.
  • Prepare and update monthly financial reporting packages with the support of the Assistant Controller.
  • Support the team during the audit process.
  • Process payroll for employees in the UK and France, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee benefits programs across the UK, and France, including health insurance, pensions, and other employee offerings.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing and benefits administration in the US and Canada.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in accounting for a multi-entity structure
  • Experience handling payroll
  • Able to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Organized and high attention to detail
  • Passionate about learning and motivated to adapt to new systems in a dynamic role
  • Written and Oral English and French (The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers and customers based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally)
