CAD Application Engineer

This position will be supported from a home office; location can be anywhere in the UK.

We are looking for a CAD application Engineer with experience using Solidedge who will act as a subject matter expert on our customer projects. Maya HTT helps large corporations in multiple industries adopt Siemens SolidEdge and NX solutions to support more efficient and streamlined design, simulation and manufacturing. In this position, you will work closely with our Account Managers, Senior Architects, and development team to ensure our customers success.

Job Description Summary:

  • Provide customer support for SolidEdge and NX CAD.

  • Provide customer training for SolidEdge and NX CAD.

  • Support pre-sales activities (customer presentations and demos), marketing efforts and formal proposals.

  • Fulfills customer service engagements related to SolidEdge and NX CAD.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on SolidEdge and NX CAD best practices.

  • Ability to apply solutions in the following areas of SolidEdge and NX CAD:

    • Prismatic modeling functions.

    • Complex curves and surfaces.

    • Drafting and Model Based Definition.

    • Assemblies including Wave Linked geometry.

    • NX configuration, including environment variables, customer defaults, and start-up scripts.

Minimal requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and interests in design, engineering and manufacturing best practices.

  • Experience with CAD tools is a must have.

  • Experience in NX or Solidedge Solutions is an asset.

  • Experience with simulation tools, PLM and/or CAM is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and have ability to work in a team & independently.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are must.

  • Capable of multitasking with complex projects.

  • Bilingual French and English is a plus but not required.

  • Occasional travel required (20% within UK).
