Particularly our customer base and project complexity in the manufacturing industry is growing and expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) will play a crucial role in driving project success. What to expect as your main responsibilities: 

As an MES Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization and support of our customers’ manufacturing execution systems. You will leverage your expertise in MES to drive digital transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration between systems and facilitating real-time data analytics to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. 

• System Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of Siemens Opcenter solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. 

• Integration: Facilitate the integration of Opcenter with existing ERP, PLC, PLM and other enterprise systems to ensure cohesive operation across the manufacturing ecosystem. 

• Optimization: Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and streamline operations. 

• Support and Troubleshooting: Offer expert support for system issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems and minimize disruptions. 

• Training: Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to ensure effective use of Opcenter. 

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to support ongoing maintenance and compliance. 

  You will be successful in this role if you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline to work as an MES consultant (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,…) or MES certification. 

• Experience with an MES is required, manufacturing of Discrete industries (process industry is also interesting).

• Experience interfacing MES with PLC systems is required (e.g. DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, Siemens SIMATIC Batch, Rockwell PLCs/SCADA).

• Relevant programming language skills (example: C#, Java, C++, VBA/VBScript, Python).

• Knowledge of Siemens Opcenter modules is an asset (Opcenter Execution, Opcenter Intelligence, and Opcenter Quality ).

• Experience with related technologies such as PLM, SCADA systems, and ERP integration is an asset. 

• Knowledge of Teamcenter manufacturing is an asset.

• Knowledge of software release management, testing and validation process is an asset.

• Position requires strong interpersonal skills, ownership, communication skills and problem solving capabilities.  

• Written and Oral English is required (The position requires regular interaction with colleagues, suppliers and customers based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally).

• Occasional travel (~10%).
